Camera #155 which was deposited in Maine last week has already made it’s way to the U.K. Here is an email & photo I received:

Hi!
I found this camera (#155) during the week at Federal Jacks in Kennebunkport, ME and have brought it back with me to Oxford, UK. I am from Australian, currently living in England and visit my boy in Maine when i can. We were so excited to find your project & saddened to hear about the demise of Kodak. I want to assist in spreading your project so will leave this at a gallery or pub this afternoon, where ever I meet my friends.
If you need help depositing anymore cameras around the place let me know, I will be travelling all over in the next year.
Good luck,
Sarah

Thank you Sarah!

Kodak files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy | The Verge
Patent lawsuits won’t save Kodak from an overhaul, it seems: as predicted, the photography company just announced that it’s filed for bankruptcy. Kodak says it’s voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 reorganization in New York, in order to “bolster liquidity in the U.S. and abroad, monetize non-strategic intellectual property, fairly resolve legacy liabilities, and enable the Company to focus on its most valuable business lines.”

Having recently purchased a Kodak product and seeing how awful the user experience was, this is the opposite of surprising. Still sad though.

I’m hoping this has little, to no impact on my project as I have been exclusively using Kodak disposable cameras. We’ll have to wait and see what happens down the road.
